A Visit to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Campus

Campus Tours

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00 p.m. (no Saturday or Sunday tours are offered).
  • One-week in advance of your planned visit call 336-770-3399 to schedule your tour.
  • In order to enrich your experience, tours are focused on specific schools according to the following schedule:

Tuesday- Dance, Visual Arts
Wednesday- Music, Drama
Thursday- Film, Design and Production

  • All tours are walking tours lasting approximately 2 hours.
  • If special assistance is required, please contact the Office of Admissions one week ahead of your planned visit.
  • Tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather during winter months. Please call to ensure that a tour will be conducted (336-770-3399).

No tours during the following periods:

June- December 2011
Friday, October 8 - October 13 (Fall Break, Open House preparations and Open House)

NOTE: Fall Open House Friday, October 14 - A Great Alternative!
Tuesday,October 25 - No tour
Tuesday, November 22 -December 3 (Holiday and Final Exams)
Monday, December 19 -Friday, December 31 (Holiday Break and end of Fall term)

January - August 2012

January 2 -January 13 (Holiday break and new class registration)
Monday, March 5 -Thursday, March 15 (Spring Break and Open House)
NOTE: Open House, Friday, March 23
Monday, April 30 -Friday, May 4th (End of Arts classes, commencement preparations)
Monday, May 14 -Monday, June 25 (No Arts classes in session)
Wednesday, July 4th (Holiday)
Monday, July 23 -August 27 (End of Summer Programs and Fall 2012 Registration)
Monday, September 3rd (Holiday)

Note: Tuesday, May 8 -Thursday May 10
A general facilities tour can be offered, however, no arts classes in session.
