SPECIAL PARKING MESSAGE
Installation guests and visitors are urged to use the main campus entrance at 1533 South Main Street.
All vehicles entering campus will be greeted by an NCSA Police Officer who will direct the driver to the appropriate parking area.
All members of the Platform Party and those processing will be directed to designated parking areas along the Service Road.
Anyone with special needs will be directed to a designated area along the Service Road.
Members of the NCSA Board of Trustees will be directed to the Film Visitors lot for parking.
Most visitors will be directed to park in the Welcome Center lot, gravel commuter lot, Fitness Center lot, or Lower R lot (shuttles will be running).
NCSA Police will determine if, and when, overflow parking will be utilized. At that point drivers may be directed to the Ehle Drive commuter lot, Waughtown gravel lot, and Vintage Theatre, as deemed appropriate.
Faculty, staff and student parking information
All faculty, staff and students may park in their normal parking areas except those who park on Service Road.
ALL parking spaces along the Service Road (including all reserved spaces) will be needed for the processional party. Areas that cannot be utilized by faculty/staff/Aramark employees on Installation day are:
* Service Road spaces along Buildings A-D.
* Service Road spaces from Building D all along the Kudzu Valley through the Police parking area.
* Service Road spaces normally allocated to Aramark.
* Crawford Hall parking lot.
* Spaces near the gasoline pumps.
* All spaces in the faculty/staff lot at the top of Service Road just up and across from the Police Department.
Therefore, all faculty, staff and students who are assigned to parking spaces 1-29t, 101-114, and those who use the non-reserved Service Road lot across from the Police Department will need to park in the field behind Moore Hall. This parking area may be accessed by entering campus from Chapel Street., keeping right at the fork towards de Mille Theatre, and following that road around Sanford Hall. The field will be on your left as you pass Sanford Hall.
Although all other faculty, staff and students are asked to park in your normal parking areas. Please consider using an alternate entrance if you normally enter onto campus from South Main Street. You will avoid the bulk of the traffic expected to enter at that location for installation.
-- Deb Cheesebro, Chief of Police
