The Stevens Center	School of Dance Pilates Studio

The primary performance facility for the School of Dance is the Stevens Center, a 1,380-seat neoclassical theatre with state-of-the-art equipment in downtown Winston-Salem. The 1929 movie palace was renovated in 1983 to provide students with a superb performance training facility commensurate with their performance level. Additionally, on-campus performance facilities include the intimate 188-seat Agnes de Mille Theatre, which offers a proscenium stage. All the facilities have dressing rooms, rehearsal space, box office facilities and, in Stevens Center, a performer lounge. Classes and rehearsals are conducted in the modern, clerestory-lit, air-conditioned dance studios, which feature "sprung" floors specially designed to meet the needs of dancers.
