Bland Wade graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Design and Production in scene design in May 1980. He joined the faculty of the School of Design and Production in 1986, establishing a major course of study in stage properties. He has a long career in stage properties and has worked with many companies, including Heritage Repertory Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival. His experiences include theatre, opera, dance, film, television and a wide variety of commercial and corporate events. He is a practicing artist who is heavily involved in the local community. He is a member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 635, The Society of Property Artisans and Managers (S*P*A*M), U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), and The American Association of Woodturners (AAW). |
