Bulluck, Acting (1997)
Award-winning playwright, director and arts administrator who has
worked for some of the nation’s leading arts organizations. In
New York, directed for the Direct Theatre, the Players Theatre,
Carnegie Recital Hall, the Cubiculo, and The Juilliard School. Worked
on Broadway as assistant director to Gerald Freedman on “The
Robber Bridegroom”; on numerous productions for John
Houseman’s The Acting Company; Arena Stage, Washington, D.C.; New
York City Opera; and Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles. Regional work
includes productions for the Pilot Theatre in Los Angeles; the Power
Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.; Theatre-in-the-Park in Raleigh, N.C.; and
Thalian Hall in Wilmington, N.C. Served as literary manager for
PlayMakers Repertory Company, Chapel Hill, N.C. Awarded N.C. Arts
Council’s Playwrights Fellowship. Plays have been developed by
the Hudson Guild Theatre in New York, the Great Lakes Theater Festival
in Cleveland and the North Carolina Playwrights Center. A graduate of
the drama division of The Juilliard School.
