Caroline Kava

Caroline Kava, Acting (2005)
Caroline's film acting credits include Born On The Fourth Of July, Snow Falling On Cedars, The Year of the Dragon, Little Nikita and Seven Days In September.  Television credits in include Law and Order, The Practice, Star Trek: Next Generation, and Quantum Leap as well Nobody’s Child and numerous other Movies of the Week.  She has acted all over the country in regional theatre. Her many New York stage credits include the New York Shakespeare Festival’s Threepenny Opera, directed by Richard Foreman,  The Brides by Harry Kondoleon and The Nature & Purpose of the Universe by Chris Durang.She is the author of The Early Girl, produced by Circle Rep and published by Samuel French.  She has directed plays at Circle Rep, Chautauqua Institute, The University of Illinois, and SUNY Purchase. She has written and directed three short films: Polio Water, Number One, and Jesus, Maria which have screened at The New York, British Short and Los Angeles International Women’s Film Festivals among others.  She taught acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Barnard College, and the University of Miami.  She is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse, where she studied with Sanford Meisner.   She has a BA from SUNY Empire State College and an MFA in Film from Columbia University.
