Bob King was named an emeritus faculty member of the UNCSA Division of Liberal Arts in 2020. He taught at UNCSA from 2006-20, after working at UNC Greensboro from 2000-06, and retired in July 2020.

King was the lead teacher and researcher on UNCSA's first Quality Enhancement Plan focused on digital media and technology. He used his background in instructional design to develop a template and pilot the Division of Liberal Arts' First Year Seminar course, and concluded his career at UNCSA by developing the widely successful Mindfulness Meditation and Education course. Throughout his tenure at UNCSA he remained a dedicated teacher, supportive colleague and valuable pedagogy resource.
