The Foundation Office maintains the accounting function for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Foundation, a tax-exempt, non-profit entity that fosters and promotes the school’s general welfare. The Foundation is the main recipient of gifts, endowments, and grants for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Our endowment of over $15 million assists the School with scholarships, guest artists and other school programs, which enhance the student’s experience.
This office also handles the accounting for all Semans Arts Funds. Students, faculty and deans apply annually for approximately $150,000 in grants that assist in supplemental summer travel and study, guest artist and discretionary funds.
