The Arts Enterprise Lab -- a partnership between the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for
the Arts and the Center for Creative Economy -- provides a self-directed learning
environment and support network that challenges members of the Winston-Salem creative
community to discover avenues of growth and change for their business, social enterprise
or artistic practice.
The 2018 cohort of the Arts Enterprise Lab will meet at the Creative Community Lab
one evening a week for eight weeks beginning in January 2018, and again for six weeks
in the fall of 2018. Veteran creative entrepreneurs serve as instructors and mentors,
delivering curriculum that allow participants to learn about best practices, share
experiences, and develop strategies for success in their creative enterprise. Selected
Lab members are eligible for a $1,000 seed grant to help move their enterprise forward.
Applications are due on November 17, and the review committee will select the 2018
Lab cohort by November 31.
