Graduate Woodwinds

Graduate Woodwinds

The graduate woodwind degree program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts will lay the groundwork you need to be successful in today’s musical climate. Refining your mastery of your instrument and developing professional skills will be at the heart of your studies.

Small studio sizes allow for close work and mentorship with your teacher from day one. The unrivaled woodwind faculty are active, accomplished musicians, meaning they bring with them the perspectives from the current professional world. Performance opportunities at UNCSA abound. In the School of Music, participation in large and chamber music ensembles is an integral part of the curriculum, as are recitals. The campus is situated in an area with a thriving arts culture – you will never be at a loss for artistic opportunities within the larger community.

The graduate woodwinds program offers a Master of Music degree and a post-graduate Professional Artist Certificate.
