Woodwinds

The woodwinds program at University of North Carolina School of the Arts will lay the groundwork you need to be successful in today’s musical climate. As a student in a conservatory atmosphere, your instrument—and your mastery of it—will be at the heart of your studies. Small studio sizes allow for close work and mentorship with your teacher from day one. The unrivaled woodwind faculty are active, accomplished musicians, meaning they bring with them the perspectives from the current professional world. Performance opportunities at UNCSA abound, including large and chamber music ensembles and artistic opportunities within the larger community.

The woodwind program at UNCSA offers a high school diploma, undergraduate Bachelor of Music degree, graduate Master of Music degree and post-graduate Performing Artist Certificate.
