Fellowships at Lincoln Center Education

The William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowships at Lincoln Center Education (LCE) is recruiting for a cohort of 4 Fellows who are from the classes of 2024, 2023, and 2022 of UNCSA’s undergraduate or graduate programs in the Schools of Dance, Drama, and Music.

The Kenan Fellowship is based in New York City, run from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, and is a 29-hour per week employment commitment.

Fellowships Announced Week of April 15, 2024

Interviews will take place in-person on the UNCSA campus in Winston-Salem, NC.  Applicants who are not on campus may request an interview in person at Lincoln Center or virtually on Zoom.

Applicants, and other interested students and faculty, are encouraged to attend an experiential workshop with Lincoln Center Education staff modelling effective teaching artist practice based in LCEs inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. 

This fellowship seeks to support fellows in their transition from a conservatory training program to the NYC professional artistic community and to the work of Lincoln Center Education.  At Lincoln Center, the successful candidate will be engaged in the following areas: arts education administration, teaching artistry, supporting Lincoln Center Education Initiatives, network building, and developing personal artistry.  Candidates should have demonstrated commitment, curiosity, and be conversant in the pillars of LCEs work:  de-colonizing arts canons, de-gendering arts pedagogy, and Access & Inclusion.
