Group exercise classes
UNCSA Fitness Center offers group exercise classes to enhance students and staff well-being and increase productivity. All classes will be held in the Fitness Center. Faculty and staff who are not members may attend classes at no cost. No registration required.
Yoga with Deanna
Mondays at 12:30-1:30 p.m. (Last class is May 14)
All-level yoga class that will teach a variety of standing, balancing and seated poses and breathing techniques that will build strength plus control in the body and ultimately the mind. Bring your own yoga mat or use one of ours.
Hula Hoop with Emilyann
Tuesdays, noon-12:30 p.m. and 12:30-1 p.m. (Last class is April 24)
Hula hoops provided or bring your own. All experience levels welcome. Classes are 30 minutes. Hula hoop class is a great way to tone your body, increase blood circulation and relieve stress. Open to all students, faculty, and staff. Come to one or both classes. Classes are tailored to the participants.
Metabolic Effect Fusion with Brenda Smith
Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. (Last class is May 15)
Cardio, strength training, and yoga integrated into one workout.
Kickboxing with Madison
Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m. (Last class is April 17)
This 1 hour class is a great workout for everyone interested in improving their fitness and stamina. It includes an aerobic experience, utilizing martial arts based kickboxing techniques to increase muscular strength, cardiovascular conditioning, coordination and balance.
