Annual Evaluations

All faculty classifications (Multi-Year Contract, Full-Time Visiting and Part-Time Visiting) will be evaluated on an annual basis using the Annual Evaluation/Update of Professional Activities form. It is important that the dean provide an annual opportunity to faculty members to discuss their annual evaluation. Multi-Year Faculty in a Contract Reappointment Evaluation, Mid 10-Year Review or Rank Promotion year are exempt from the Annual Evaluation in that year.

A copy of the Annual Evaluation/Update of Professional Activities form (Part I & Part II) should be kept by the school/division and the faculty member for inclusion in the Contract Reappointment Evaluation Dossier, the Mid 10-year Review Dossier and the Rank Promotion Dossier.

Visiting Faculty who teach only in the fall term submit Part I of the Annual Evaluation/Update of Professional Activities form to the Office of the Dean.

The Dean completes Part II of the Annual Evaluation/Update of Professional Activities form.

The Office of the Dean provides a copy of Part II to the Faculty member and offers the Faculty Member an opportunity to discuss the evaluation with the Dean.

The Office of the Dean uploads Part I and Part II to the appropriate FASchools folder on Superman drive for Provost review.  Part I and Part II should be saved as one document for each Faculty Member.
