Installing Pharos Print Package

For Mac Devices

The install process must be initiated and completed on a UNCSA campus network.
You must be logged into the Mac on an Administrator account to install the Pharos Pop-up Print Package.

If you installed this package before October 5, 2015, you will need to download the zip file and reinstall the package due to OSX changes.

  1. Download the Pharos Software for Mac (You may need to double click the .zip file to de-archive the contents)
  2. Double click the UNCSAPopup.dmg to mount the image.
  3. Double-click the Pop-up installer, <Popup.pkg>.
  4. Select a destination disk. You will only be able to select the startup disk.
  5. Follow the prompts to complete installation.
  6. Once the installer has completed, Open System Preferences > Print & Scan and verify that UNCSA_BW and UNCSA_ Color printers are now an option.

Be sure to select the correct printer from the "Printer Name" drop down menu when printing as you will be charged based on the printer you print to.

Pharos Popup service will now be running on your computer and will be automatically launched in the background every time you log in.
