New Faculty Guide to Getting Started
Welcome to the UNCSA family! As a new faculty member, the next year will be filled with new people, new experiences, and many questions. To help you successfully transition into your role as UNCSA faculty, we offer several resources and events. This guide is meant as a reference to help you in the first few weeks here at UNCSA. The Office of Faculty Affairs continually strives to improve on our efforts to better serve new faculty. Email us your suggestions about how we can enhance our welcome even more next year.
Closer to the start of the school year, there will be a Faculty Enrichment Day and New Faculty Orientation & Faculty Enrichment Days. In the meantime, there are several things you can do to prepare for your arrival on campus.
Contracts & Hiring Forms
You should have already received your contract and hiring forms. If you have not already scheduled your Job Offer Acceptance Session, please do so immediately. All employees are issued a Banner ID/E-Z Arts number upon hire. This is your unique identification number and it will be used often (for example, to access E-Z Arts for payroll, student records, course rosters, grading, etc.) so keep it handy. Your Banner ID/E-Z Arts number was emailed to you from Mitsy McNeill in the Office of Faculty Affairs. If you have not received this information, please contact her at 336-770-3247 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Faculty Bio Webpage
Each new faculty member will receive a profile page on the UNCSA website. As part of this process, the Digital Media Department asks that you fill out a faculty bio form and sign up to have a headshot taken on campus. Headshots are scheduled for the morning of Friday, Aug. 11 and afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 16. Sign up for a time slot here.
All headshots will be taken at the far end of the 4th Floor of the Library. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Your shoot will last around 10 minutes. A make-up artist will be onsite to provide hair and make-up touch-ups. We ask that music faculty members bring their instrument, if possible. You will be able to make a final photo selection before your profile is completed.
Questions about faculty profile pages or head shots can be directed to Corrine Luthy in Digital Media at email@example.com.
