UNCSA Performances - May 2011

May 1 (Sunday) and May 4-8 (Wednesday - Sunday)

"Oklahoma!"

Don’t miss UNCSA’s first all-school musical since West Side Story took the Stevens Center by storm in 2007. Oklahoma! features the timeless story of a handsome young cowboy vying for the attention of a beautiful, headstrong farm girl. Set in the early 1900s and filled with humor, romance and drama, Oklahoma! changed musical theatre forever with its innovative integration of music and dance. UNCSA will present a faithful restaging of the original 1943 Broadway production, including the original Agnes de Mille choreography as well as many elements of the stage design. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship programs in all five arts schools at UNCSA.
