The A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute presents the many romantic adventures of Hoffmann, a poet searching for love -- only to find that it lies just beyond his reach. At every turn his actions are thwarted by a devilish character who turns up in Vienna, Munich and Venice.
Offenbach’s glorious score is one of the most expressive in all of 19th century French opera.
