WINSTON-SALEM – Do you have the talent,
discipline, drive, determination – and
passion – for a career as an artist? If
the answer is “yes,” take a look at the
state’s premier public arts
conservatory, the University of North
Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA).
The Office of Admissions at UNCSA will
conduct a Spring Open House for
prospective students and their families
on Friday, April 1. The Open House will
allow prospective applicants to
experience the campus for a day and
discover why UNCSA is the place
for talented students to train.
Professional training
programs are available in the schools of
Dance, Design and Production (including
a Visual Arts Program), Drama,
Filmmaking, and Music. Registration will
start the day, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. An Information Fair will be
held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A Welcome Session will be held from
1-1:45 p.m. At 2 p.m., prospective
students will be able to visit the arts
school of their choice and meet with
deans, faculty members and current
students. From 3:45-5 p.m., campus
tours will be offered to the prospective
students and their parents. UNCSA offers programs
for high school to graduate school,
depending on the particular arts
discipline. Prospective high
school students should note that the
state of North Carolina currently pays
the full cost of attending UNCSA
(tuition, fees, room and board) for all
in-state students who are
accepted into the high school program.
Registration is required.
Prospective students may fill out the
form available online at
www.uncsa.edu/admissions/openhouse.htm
and email the completed form as a PDF or
