UNCSA TO PRESENT FILM SCREENINGS BY THIRD- AND FOURTH-YEAR STUDENTS

 

Thursday and Friday, May 3 and 4

 


WINSTON-SALEM -- Next week, the School of Filmmaking at University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) will present its annual screenings to showcase works by the school’s third- and fourth-year film students (college juniors and seniors). This year’s screenings are slated for Thursday, May 3, and Friday, May 4, at the School of Filmmaking’s ACE Exhibition Complex on the UNCSA campus, 1533 South Main St., Winston-Salem.

The schedule is:

Thursday, May 3 – Third-Year Films
7 p.m., Main Theatre
8 p.m., Babcock Theatre

Friday, May 4 – Fourth-Year Films
3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., Main Theatre
8 p.m., Babcock Theatre

Tickets are $6 for adults, seniors and students, and can be purchased through the UNCSA Box Office at 336-721-1945 or online at www.uncsa.edu/performances.

COLT tells the story of a young boy’s coming of age set against the backdrop of the Post-Civil war South. Having come from a broken home, Colt’s father, Willard, attempts to instill life lessons upon his son. The incessant exposure to his father’s brutal tutelage leads Colt to make a life changing decision.
