Services for students with disabilities
The University of North Carolina School of the Arts is open and accessible to all qualified students. The policy for serving students with disabilities who are enrolled at UNSCA is consistent with Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Students who wish to request disability-related accommodations in the academic or living environment at UNCSA are required to support their request through documentation that meets the university's guidelines Steps for Accommodations. Submit all documentation to:

Learning resources for all students
Assistance is available for students who would like to improve their approach to learning. Through Learning Resources students can:
- gain insight on their strengths and weaknesses in learning
- develop better time management and organizational skills
- improve their studying and test-taking strategies
- improve note-taking, reading, and writing skills.
Learning Specialist Jorja Waybrant, MEd, provides workshops at the beginning of every semester, tutoring services when needed, and also offers 1:1 instruction in an array of skills and strategies for academic success. This service is available by faculty/staff referral, self-referral, or appointment.
