Born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee, Jemima began her dance training at the age of 5. She began serious training at Cast and Crowns Performing Arts Center at the age of 15. Jemima is currently training at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she is developing her technique in the undergraduate Contemporary Dance program.
Jemima has performed in works at UNCSA, including “Esplanade” by Paul Taylor, “Maple Leaf Rag” by Martha Graham and in works created by Brenda Daniels, Sean Sullivan, Dawn Bazemore and Catherine Miller. She has also spent the summer training at the Martha Graham School, where she has been inspired to perform more Graham-based work.
