10-11 a.m. Snagit Training with Gary Penrod

11 a.m.-noon Employee Performance with Compsych

When addressing performance issues, showing employees that you care about and support them while still being clear about problems and expectations can be challenging. This session offers tools for having supportive conversations in these challenging situations.

Noon-1 p.m. Faculty and Staff Book Study - High Conflict: Why We Get Trapped and How We Get Out by Amanda Ripley

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in a seminar-style reading group highlighting the possibility of creating and sustaining community even when deep divisions threaten to overwhelm our best intentions. Presented by Jill Crenshaw and Jill Lane, this multi-part book study is a partnership between the Ombuds Office and Human Resources. Sessions are February 21-22 and March 21-22 at noon in room 4107 of the Library.

2-3:30 p.m. Effectively Navigating Cross-Cultural Conflict & Conflict with Shayla Herndon-Edmunds

In this workshop, we utilize the Iceberg Model to identify barriers to diversity, inclusion & engagement, explore differences in communication and conflict styles and examine their intersection with social constructs like race. Finally, we will engage tools to enhance cross-cultural interactions and conflict management.

10-11 a.m. Receiving the Goods: A Guide to Timely Invoice Payments with Steve Cochrane

Are you tired of dealing with late payments and mounting invoice backlogs? Do you want to learn how to streamline your receiving process and ensure the timely payment of invoices?

We have the solution for you! This hands-on session will give you the knowledge and skills to improve your receiving process and get your invoices paid on time.

11 a.m.-noon Craft Circle, led by Liza Vest

Celebrate February with the craft circle! We will be meeting in the Makerspace at the Library. Bring your own project to work on, or come work on the sewing machines to make a napkin or coaster (fabric and supplies will be provided). Enjoy spending an hour being creative with a great group of people.

2-3 p.m. Performance Hour in the School of Music

The entire campus community is welcome to attend these free, weekly performances showcasing student progress in the UNCSA School of Music. The pieces vary weekly and are determined by what students are working on this year.

3-4 p.m. Understanding Taxes and Tax Returns presented by the State Employees Credit Union (SECU)

Determined by Benjamin Franklin to be one of life's certainties, taxes afford us many societal privileges and fuel our governmental systems. This presentation explains the "why" and "how" of paying taxes by reviewing the process of filing a tax return, important tax terminology, and filing requirements.
