Great American Cleanup at UNCSA
Keep America Beautiful is celebrating the Great American Cleanup’s 25th year in spring
2023.
UNCSA will join this effort by holding a cleanup session on Monday, April 17, 2023, 3-4:30 p.m., with the support of Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful, Inc. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Rain date will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
The campus community is invited to clean up the stream and surrounding area near the bridge linking the Hanes Commons area to Sunnyside Ave. All students, faculty and staff are welcome. Participants will be required to sign a waiver form, which will be provided at the cleanup.
Staff: Consult with your supervisor about using Community Service leave for these hours (fulltime staff members receive 24 hours each year, halftime staff receive a prorated amount).

When: 3-4:30 p.m., Monday, April 17, 2023 (Rain date: Tuesday, April 18, 2023)
Where: UNCSA Campus – meet at the bridge between Hanes Commons and Sunnyside
Other Info:
- Supplies (gloves, garbage bags, hand sanitizer) will be provided.
- Apply sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty (long sleeves, long pants, boots)
- Participants are required to sign a waiver form, which will be provided at the cleanup.
- Be prepared to have fun while building community and cleaning our campus!
- Many hands make light work!
