Adobe discontinues Cloud synced files service

Adobe applications on a computerAdobe is discontinuing its Creative Cloud Synced Files service. Beginning in February 2024, users can no longer share files or folders from Creative Cloud Synced files with new users outside UNCSA. Starting in October 2024, Adobe will begin discontinuing the Creative Cloud content synchronization process, synced file and folder sharing. Additionally, Adobe will permanently remove the cloud-based copies of files for users. Assets on user devices in the local Creative Cloud Files folder will no longer be synchronized with Creative Cloud storage.

User files will remain in their local Creative Cloud Files folder. Folders and assets previously shared from Creative Cloud Synced files will no longer be accessible to others, including those inside UNCSA and externally. Users may not see these changes immediately as the rollout will be gradual.

We recommend changing your file storage location(s) in your Adobe CC applications Preferences settings to a location in your Documents folder — a cloud-based storage solution on Microsoft's OneDrive. If you are already using a personal cloud storage solution, that will also work.

As always, be aware that you will need to find a personal storage solution for your files before you leave the school!
