Five UNCSA short films to screen at film festival
Five 2024 Student Films, "Clocked Out," "Cow," "Fall Towards the Heavens," "Flag of Bone" and "Heart of the City" will premiere at the Real to Reel International Film Festival in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, on July 26 & 27.
"Fall Towards the Heavens" and "Heart of the City" will screen in the 7 p.m. screening
block on Friday, July 26. Writer/Director Paris Arthur and Producer Joshua Robinson will attend and represent
"Fall Towards the Heavens." Producer Paula Riofrio Merrill, Cinematographer Davis
Brownell and Sound Designer Avery Callahan will attend and represent "Heart of the
City."
"Clocked Out," "Cow" and "Flag of Bone" will screen in the 1 p.m. matinee screening block on Saturday, July 26. Producer Peter Arsenault will attend and represent "Cow." Writer/Director Elizabeth
Coley, Editor Ashley Luckadoo, VFX Supervisor Jack Yaman, Asst. Editor Erika Sharp
and Colorist, BG Artist Ari Cordero Rojas will attend and represent "Flag of Bone."
Ashley Luckadoo, producer of "Flag of Bone," will also help host the film festival
as an SECU Public Fellows Intern who has worked with the festival and the Cleveland County Arts Council all summer.

"Clocked Out" (14:32) was written by Jacob Israel and Ezra Toney, directed by Marco Greco, produced
by Jacqueline Smith and Sofia Alvarez-Cabrera, with cinematography by Grant Kaufman,
production design by Jonah Williams, edited by Drake Hair, hair & makeup designed
by Mara Trefzger, costumes designed by Inga Domenick, and music by Daniel G. Stocker
and Yongjoon Kim.
"Cow" (7:55) was written by Thomas Getsey, directed by Tristan Alkemper and Joe Apel, produced
by Peter Arsenault, with cinematography by Evan Wildermuth, production design by Brendan
Bell, edited by Jared Cook, special effects supervised by Dani Mann and Tatum Gray.
"Fall Towards the Heavens" (5:20) was written and directed by Paris Arthur, produced by Ysshua, edited by Destiny
Dows, music by Hannah Mufuka, and animation by Paris Arthur, Madison McDonald, Towne
Villanueva, Jillian Dengate, Nate Roca, Taber Haynes, and Van Slaughter.
"Flag of Bone" (6:11) was written and directed by Elizabeth Coley, produced by Ashley Luckadoo,
with cinematography by Elizabeth Coley, edited by Roy Ford, visual effects supervised
by Jack Yaman, music by Hannah Mufuka, and animation by Elizabeth Coley, Charlie Abb,
and Iris Glaubuchek.
"Heart of the City" (22:20) was directed by Will Harvest, produced by Paula Riofrio, with cinematography
by Davis Brownell, edited by Emilie Rizzo-Banks and sound designed by Avery Callahan.
