Archival Collections
The collections in the University Archives consist of the historical records of the school and several manuscript collections including: the papers and oral history interviews of the founders of the School; papers relating to several of the early professional affiliate companies of the School; the International Music Program papers of Dr. James H. Semans and Giorgio Ciompi; and the papers of opera mezzo-soprano, Gladys Swarthout and lighting designer Nanane Porcher. In addition, the Archives has a very significant collection of audio-visual materials relating to school performances and official ceremonies. The holdings consist of approximately 15,000 linear feet of materials dating from 1963 to the present.
Printed inventories and indexes for collections can be found in the Reading Room.
