Strings - Community Music School

Strings

The UNCSA Community Music School is committed to providing string students at all ages and ability levels with access to the best quality instruction, ensemble opportunities and performance experiences. Teachers include UNCSA faculty, plus many dedicated educators with a wide range of performance experience and teaching perspectives.

There are two tracks of string instruction available through the CMS: Suzuki Violin for young violists, and traditional string lessons for violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists of all ages. Each approach has its advantages, and parents of young students are encouraged to consult with the Community Music School to find the best fit. Advanced students may audition for the studios of UNCSA School of Music faculty members.
