Voice - Community Music School

Voice

The UNCSA Community Music School is committed to providing high quality, nurturing instruction to voice student in grades 2 through adults. Students younger than 13 should start with our Choral Ensemble for Young Musicians, then transition to either piano/voice or guitar/voice private lessons that provide foundational theory, instrumental music performance instruction and correct vocal technique before progressing to more intensive vocal study when the vocal folds are fully developed.

Teachers include professional opera and jazz performers, but instruction is not limited to these areas.  Students wishing to focus on Broadway or other popular styles may do so in consultation with our faculty. Advanced students may audition for the studios of UNCSA School of Music faculty members.
