Jenny White

Jenny White teaches mathematics in the UNCSA High School Academic Program. She decided to become a teacher, she says, while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in the rural foothills of Peru. "The town I lived in didn’t have a summer school math and science teacher, so I stepped in to teach and fell in love with education."

It has been my mission for my students to see math as more than just “number crunching” and to appreciate math, as I do, for its ability to help us model the world around us and aid in problem solving scenarios.
