Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Lauren Spillmann attended the University of Mississippi Medical School to pursue a lifelong dream to become a doctor. After graduation and Internship, she and her husband moved to Denver, Colorado, to complete a Residency in Neurology for her and Occupational Medicine for him.
While in Colorado, she had four wonderful children. Her family moved to North Carolina in 1990. She has practiced family medicine, with an emphasis on occupational medicine and pain management since that time. She enjoys the outdoors and loves hiking, horseback riding, foxhunting and all of the arts. Currently she resides with her husband, a herd of horses, two dogs, one cat and a very special turkey on a small farm in rural North Carolina.
