I am passionate about helping college students navigate the unique challenges that accompany this phase of life. I believe that the counseling experience should be tailored to an individual’s specific needs and building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential. It is my hope to provide a safe space for UNCSA students to bring their whole, authentic selves.
I think it is important to create a warm and empathetic environment where students can explore the connection between their thoughts, behaviors and emotional experiences. To that end, my counseling style tends to integrate person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapies. As a Master of Divinity/MA in Counseling candidate, my clinical interests include spirituality, social justice and multicultural concerns, interpersonal issue, and identity development.
