Full Frame Documentary Film Collaboration
The partnership between the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts provides support for UNCSA Film students to attend Full Frame’s annual festival as part of the Full Frame Fellows program. The experience is aimed at educating, motivating, and nurturing Fellows as participants. Along with screening films, Fellows have the opportunity to network with documentary filmmakers and seek advice they can apply to their own careers. The on-campus screening component of the partnership allows students to experience the benefits of the Fellows Program beyond the four-day festival.
Another component of the partnership involves Full Frame’s School of Doc program, a five-week summer documentary filmmaking camp for high school students. Full Frame chooses two School of Doc alumni to attend UNCSA’s Filmmaking Summer Intensive. The current School of Doc cohort also gets to tour UNCSA campus during the summer intensive to learn more about the program.
