Managers, supervisors to complete mandatory training
The Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) has granted UNCSA the authority to teach the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Fundamentals (EEODF) training course. This program fulfills the requirements of NC General Statue 126-16.1 that requires all managers and supervisors to enroll in EEO training within one year of appointment or hire. If you are a manager or supervisor, it is mandatory that you take this course. Human Resources (HR) has a list of all supervisors and managers who will be required to take this course.
About the course
The course is offered in a blended format consisting of seven online modules and eight hours of classroom training. It is highly recommended that you register for the class as soon as possible, as the series of modules must be completed in its entirety, and a passing score of 70% obtained on the final assessment prior to being allowed to complete the classroom portion of the training. We recommend the online modules be taken in numerical order. All seven modules do not have to be completed in one sitting; however, you will want to start the modules as soon as possible to allow yourself adequate time for completion prior to the classroom portion of the training.
UNCSA has two certified adjunct instructors. Since first published in the HR News, Human Resources has added additional training dates in October and November. The dates and times of EEODF classroom training portion will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on:
- Tuesday, September 5
- Tuesday, September 19
- Thursday, October 5
- Wednesday, October 25
- Thursday, November 2
- Tuesday, November 14
By registering for the EEODF classroom training, you will reserve your classroom spot and HR will give you information to access the online modules. There are 18 slots for each class. If the class you want to attend is full, HR will notify you of your options.
