Studying smarter skills taught in workshop
The key to becoming an effective student is learning how to study smarter, not harder. Join us for this lunch and learn session on Thursday, Nov. 9 from noon-1 p.m. focuses on study skills and test-taking strategies.
During the session, students will gain insight into their own personal strengths and weaknesses when learning. We’ll also discuss the best methods for increasing knowledge by developing and applying effective study habits to become a successful student.
As for test-taking, in college, tests are unavoidable. The approach to taking a multiple-choice exam is strategically different than taking an essay exam. No matter how hard you study, if you don’t know the best approach, you won’t score the highest possible grade. Join us for this lunch and learn session to discuss the connection between good study skills and test-taking in order to alleviate test anxiety and help you perform at an optimum level. Students will also learn how to use previous tests as a diagnostic tool and discover the best strategies to approach the type of test their taking.
