Hook receives NCHO Graduate Student of the Year award

Kelly Hook and Ramond RichmondAt this year's annual North Carolina Housing Officers Conference, Kelly Hook received the NCHO Graduate Student of the Year Award.  Kelly Hook is the graduate assistant for academic success in High School Residence Life.  Kelly is a second year graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the Student Affairs Administration program. Ramona Richmond (pictured with Hook) is the president of the NCHO and is UNCSA's Senior Associate Director of Residence Life Programs & Housing.

Kelly has done amazing work during the past 1-1/2 years with our high school students.  She works closely with the High School Academic Office to support students who need extra help, she hosts SAT prep classes and offers a variety of study and review opportunities to our students.  Hook also serves in the residence life on-call rotation for high school where she is constantly meeting the daily needs of our residential high school students and attending to emergencies with care.  Hook goes above and beyond to help the students, be an amazing team member and to see our students, staff and team succeed.  Residence Life is so proud of all she has done in her short time here, and we know she is destined for continued success upon graduation.
