Stream more than 30,000 films through Kanopy
The UNCSA Library and Learning Commons is excited to announce access to a new film streaming resource: Kanopy.
Offering what The New York Times calls "a garden of cinematic delights," Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, and world cinema with collections from Kino Lorber, Music Box Films, Samuel Goldwyn, The Orchard, The Great Courses, PBS and thousands of independent filmmakers.
Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the Kanopy app, which is available for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast and Roku. There is no need to log in or sign up. If you are on campus, start watching movies by selecting the Watch button on the movie you wish to see. If you are off campus, selecting the Watch button will prompt students to enter their Wi-Fi username and password. Faculty and staff enter the username and password they use to log on to their office computer.
Faculty training on streaming resources.
Faculty are also invited to register for training on additional streaming resources provided by the Library. Register for the Nov. 7 training or register for the Nov. 14 training. Lunch will be provided.
