Five UNCSA films to screen in Full Bloom Festival Sept. 19-22

Still from "The Big L"Five UNCSA short films will screen this weekend at the Full Bloom Festival in Statesville, NC, Sept. 19-22. Films chosen to screen include "Alma" (2018), "The Big L" (2019), "Folding Fur" (2019), "Shelter" (2019), and "She Follows Close Behind" (2019).

Alma

"Alma" (2018) was written by Bridget Anderson and Grant Conversano, directed by Grant Conversano, produced by Kevin Cutrara and Abraham Bengio, with cinematography by Trent Spivey, production design by Giselle Eng, editing by John Machado, sound design by Gabrielle Walden, wig and makeup design by Sarah Zahn, Costume Design by Anna Riddick, and music by Drugstore Ghost.

"Alma" previously screened at the Indie Grits film festival, and won best narrative short at Visions 9.

The Big L

"The Big L" (2019) was written by Willow Augusta Longbrake, directed by Joey Moore, produced by Sam Varriale and Julia Lofton Walpole, with cinematography by Jack Salmon, production design by Jordan W. Sayman, edited by Ash Malone, sound designed by Joe Linford, music by Scott Rodeheaver, costume design by Giani Gates, and wig & makeup design by Nathalie Eidt.

"The Big L" previously screened at the Real to Reel Film Festival.

Folding Fur

"Folding Fur" (2019) was written, directed and animated by Keaton Sapp and Madison Williams, produced  by Johnathan Cebula and John Hurley, with cinematography by Chris Griggs, editing by John Rizzi, sound design by Emilyann Marsh, and music by Tim Carlos.

"Folding Fur" previously screened at the Real to Reel Film festival where it was awarded Best Student Animation.

Shelter

"Shelter" (2019) was written and directed by Jo Hatcher, produced by Epiphany James, with cinematography by Asia Jones, production design by Kendra Archer, and edited by Natalie Henderson.

She Follows Close Behind

"She Follows Close Behind" (2019) was written and directed by Aidan Weaver, produced by Katie Sanderson, with cinematography by Jared Freeman, production design by Riley Patterson, editing by John Machado, sound design by John Rizzi, music by Benjamin Miles, costume design by Keyon Woods, and wig & makeup design by Melissa Marlowe.

"Shelter" and "She Follows Close Behind" will also screen Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Fall Best of 2018-2019 screening on the UNCSA campus in Main Theater.
