Give feedback on expanded theater streaming, play script resources

  • Digital Theatre+
  • National Theatre Collection
  • expanded playscripts in Drama Online

We’re seeking student and faculty feedback to help us determine if these resources will be a valuable addition to our collections.

How to access trial resources

If accessing on campus, you will be logged in to the streaming service automatically. If accessing off campus, you will be prompted to log in with your UNCSA login and password.

Digital Theatre+
Digital Theatre+ includes about 400 streaming performances, 300 interviews, and supplementary learning materials for theater, music, and dance. Full-length productions include West End recordings of plays by Ibsen, Miller, Ravenhill, Clare Bayley, Sam Shepard and Frantic Assembly alongside collections from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Complicite, Tara Arts, Talawa, Shakespeare's Globe, and more. Access to Digital Theatre+  is available through Nov. 9, 2019.

National Theatre Collection
Included are 19 films from the past decade of National Theatre Live broadcasts, alongside high-quality recordings from NT’s Archive. Productions include Billie Piper in "Yerma"; James Corden in "One Man, Two Guvnors"; Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller in "Frankenstein"; Tom Hiddleston in "Coriolanus"; and Rory Kinnear and Adrian Lester in "Othello." Access to the National Theatre Collection is available through Dec. 31, 2019.

Expanded Script Collections in Drama Online
Expanded scripts available in Drama Online include titles from the following publishers:

  • Nick Hern Books (570+ modern plays from specialist theater publisher Nick Hern Books featuring preeminent playwrights including Howard Brenton, Jez Butterworth, and Caryl Churchill)
  • Playwrights Canada Press (175+ plays from established and emerging Canadian playwrights including Daniel Maclvor, Hannah Mosovitch, and Colleen Murphy)
  • Aurora Metro Books (125+ drama plays in print, including works from Robin Soans, Manjula Padmanabhan, and Germaine Greer)
