The Artist as Citizen Conference is for students who are interested exploring the intersections of artistry, activism and entrepreneurship. Hosted with our amazing partners from ASTEP (Artist Striving to End Poverty), this conference offers space for deep thinking and discussions, workshops, interdisciplinary creative activities, and time with several guest artists from campus and the Winston-Salem community.

The conference runs right before second semester classes start, and will kick off the afternoon of Wed., Jan. 8 and end Sat., Jan. 11, 2020. Residential students accepted into the conference will be allowed early access to move in.
