Critical food shortage: Donate food for students
Student Affairs is serving over 30 UNCSA students still in the Winston-Salem area and experiencing critical shortage of food during the pandemic.
Coming into this week there was enough food in the Pickle Pantry (UNCSA’s food pantry) to help these students through this week. Unfortunately, the Pickle Pantry is now completely depleted of all resources.
Given the current purchasing rations at local grocers, we are unable to purchase our normal quantities of food to replenish our shelves and now need assistance from you, our UNCSA community.
Our students’ greatest needs include:
- Peanut Butter
- Canned black beans
- Other additional canned beans
- Canned meat: Chili, Chicken and Tuna
- Ramen Noodles
- Mac & Cheese
- Boxed cereals
- Canned/boxed soups
- Shelf-stable milk
- Bars of soap
- Cleaning products
- Paper towels
Donation bins are outside of Campus Police where you can drop your unopened donations. If you, as members of our UNCSA community, can donate any of the above items, these students would greatly appreciate your assistance.
