Recognizing UNCSA films scheduled to screen at Indie Grits Film Festival
We would like to take a moment to recognize 2019 student film "Shelter" which was originally scheduled to screen at the Indie Grits Film Festival in Columbia, SC.
Alumnus Grant Conversano was also scheduled to screen his work-in-progress film in the Real Fiction Project. "On Becoming Undone" was created as part of Conversano's 2019 Indie Grits Labs Fellowship.
Alumni Film "American Waste" was also scheduled to screen during the festival.
"Shelter" was written and directed by Jo Hatcher, produced by Olivia Moore and Epiphany James, with cinematography by Asia Jones, production design by Kendra Archer, editing by Natalie Henderson and featuring Mayra Rodas in the cast.
Writer/director Jo Hatcher had also been invited to participate in a StoryShift panel on "Changing the Narrative."
"American Waste" was written by Bridget Anderson and Jordan McLaughlin, directed by Jordan McLaughlin, produced by Katie Sanderson and Joseph Tarnacki, with cinematography by Robindeep Singh, production design by Mack Wolf, sound design by Gabrielle Walden, makeup by Sylvana Gibson and music by Jack William Rys. The film features a number of alumni in the cast.
