Six UNCSA short films screened in Joedance Film Festival

female looking at a US Border patrol officerSix UNCSA 2019 short films will screen as part of the Charlotte, NC-based Joedance Film Festival benefiting rare pediatric cancer research. This year the festival will take place  online from Aug. 6 - Aug. 8.

"Blue & Hues," "Folding Fur," "Logged On," "Painted Love," "Shelter" and "Do You Remember?" will screen beginning at 1 p.m.  Saturday, Aug. 8, as six of the seven films in the Joedance Film Festival "Student Saturday.".Filmmakers from each film also pre-recorded Q&A sessions that will screen with their films.

“Blue & Hues” is a fourth-year animation directed by Jordan McLaughlin; written by Jordan McLaughlin, Brian Sheehan and Gabrielle Walden; animations by Jordan McLaughlin, Brian Sheehan and Hosanna Gourley; edited by Brian Sheehan.

"Do You Remember" is a second-year animation written, directed and animated by Christi Neptune, with sound design by Laura-Ellen Adair, and music by Ryan Mulder, Scott Rodeheaver.

"Folding Fur" is a fourth-year animation was written, directed and animated by Madison Williams and Keaton Sapp, produced by Johnathan Cebula and John Hurley, with cinematography by Chris Griggs, editing by John Rizzi, sound design by Emilyann Marsh, and music by Tim Carlos.

“Logged On” is a third-year film directed by Cameron McCormack; written and produced by Emily Drake Padgett; cinematography by Mitchell Brinker; editing by Eric Randolph; production design by Meghan Cowen.

"Painted Love" is a fourth-year film was written by Ruby Scharf and Milena Saban, directed by Michelle DeGrace, produced by Sam Varriale and Thatcher Johnson-Welden with cinematography by Ruby Scharf, production design by Emma Friedman, edited by Milena Saban, sound design by Jacqueline Olivo and Milena Saban, music by Tim Carlos, costume design by Ashley Heller, and wig & makeup design by Madison McLain.

"Shelter" is a second-year film was written and directed by Jo Hatcher, produced by Olivia Moore and Epiphany James, with cinematography by Asia Jones, production design by Kendra Archer, editing by Natalie Henderson and featuring Mayra Rodas in the cast.
