Excellence in Teaching nominations extended to Oct. 16
Update: The deadline to make a nomination has been extended to Oct. 16, 2020.
The 2020-21 Excellence in Teaching Awards process is now accepting nominations of faculty members who are making an exceptional impact on teaching. UNCSA faculty, students, or alumni may nominate a teacher for consideration.
The award carries a $2,500 stipend, a formal citation, and extensive public recognition. Recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award who have been teaching at UNCSA for at least seven years are then considered for the UNC Board of Governors award that recognizes excellent and exceptional teaching over a sustained period. The one institutional BOG award honoree receives a $12,500 stipend, a commemorative bronze medallion, and special recognition at UNCSA’s commencement exercises. Both awards are prestigious distinctions for individuals whose extraordinary efforts have made UNCSA a better place.
Please visit the Teaching and Learning Center website, read the award requirements to determine eligibility, and submit a nomination if you know a faculty member who deserves such recognition. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Oct. 16, 2020.
