Search UNCSA Archives Collections database

Black and white photo of North Carolina School of the ArtsThe UNCSA Archives is excited to introduce the UNCSA Archives Collections Database (archives.uncsa.edu), your first stop to search or browse the contents of the Archives. Whether there is a specific area of UNCSA history you’re interested in, or you are just looking to explore, collection descriptions in the database can help you better understand the types of material in a collection and how they are organized, and identify material to suit your area of interest.

The UNCSA Archives (library.uncsa.edu/archives) collects material documenting the history of the school, dating from its founding in 1963 to the present. Collections include:

  • campus publications,
  • sound and video recordings,
  • performance programs,
  • posters,
  • photographs, and
  • material related to professional affiliate programs and members of the UNCSA community

The Archives holds a number of collections not yet described in the Collections Database. As staff works to organize and describe additional collections, descriptions will be added to the database, so check back often to see what’s new.

While the UNCSA Archives is closed for in-person research through the 2020-2021 school year, you can find digitized material from our Digital Collections page (library.uncsa.edu/archives/digital), and Archives staff are happy to help with remote requests. Get in touch to start your search!
