Melissa MacLeod joins the Writing Center staff
We are happy to announce that Melissa MacLeod will be joining the Writing Center staff
this year! She teaches literature and writing courses in the Division of Liberal Arts.
She shares our commitment to a relaxed and non-judgmental environment where students
can seek help for any classroom assignments or personal writing projects.
There will be two ways to get Writing Center help this year: online with Nora Streed
beginning Sept .7 and in person with Melissa MacLeod beginning Sept. 13. You may make
appointments online for either one, although walk-in visits to the Writing Center
located above the Library Café are welcome.
Make an appointment
For regular hours, schedule updates, links to writing resources, and instructions,
check our Library Guide webpage on the Library website. There are both in-person and Zoom hours available Monday-Thursday;
as well as in-person hours Friday and Zoom hours Sunday evening.
Anyone can visit at any time, for any writing project (not just coursework). As always,
we offer services and support to all students, staff, and faculty. We can help with
any phase of any writing project. We are here to help you tell your story.
English as a second language (ESL) students are welcome to drop in at the Writing
Center or set up an appointment for any reason. For more extensive work on improving
your language skills or help with anything from course work to culture shock, please
make an appointment with Nora Streed or email her at streedr@uncsa.edu.
