Midweek Foundations Yoga class starts Wednesday
Create a solid base for your yoga practice each Wednesday with the Foundations Yoga class. This yoga class is practiced at a slower pace with controlled movements, stretching and focus on the breath. Whether you are new to yoga or looking to deepen your study of the poses, this class will offer you the tools to create or to add to your home yoga practice.
Referred to as alignment-based yoga or Hatha Yoga, the class will focus on the alignment poses to maximize benefits and minimize injury. Learn how on to get in and out of the poses safely, the pose's alignment, how to adapt the pose to your body, and how to prepare your body for the full or advance versions of the poses. You’ll receive instructions on how to use yoga props, which are provided.
Foundations Yoga class is offered each Wednesday from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in the Fitness Center Exercise Room for students, faculty and staff – even if you are not a Fitness Center member. The class size is limited to six participants to allow for instructional feedback. Please reserve your spot.
If you have any question, please reach out to class instructor Elizabeth White at email@example.com. She is a certified RYT200 yoga instructor.
