UNCSA short ''Shadowboxing'' screening in Joedance Highlight series

Two boxers in an outside ring at night.2021 UNCSA short film "Shadowboxing" will screen Thursday Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. to Friday Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. as one of five short films presented in the Joedance Film Festival Highlight series.
The Highlight Series features five new or award-winning short films including "Shadowboxing." Director Zander Heiselman will be featured in a pre-recorded Q&A with the festival. The Highlight series is online and available free to the public, you just have to register to attend.


“Shadowboxing” is written by Zander Heiselman, Reece Clemmons, and Ralph Parker; directed by Zander Heiselman; produced by Jenna Cusack; with cinematography by Ariano Trevino-Angelone; production designed by Grayson Fisher; edited by Jacob Boyle; sound designed by Samuel Bailey; music by Isaac Silva and Michael McKeithen, Jr.; costume designed by Olivia Alicandri and hair & makeup design by Courtney Kakac.
Joedance is a unique NC film festival, benefiting rare pediatric cancer research.
The Joedance Film Festival was held online Aug. 5-7, 2021, and screened four more UNCSA shorts; "JAZMIN," "Mundance," "Tiger Blanket," and "You Know His Name." During the festival, "You Know His Name" was awarded the Judges Award for Best Student Film.
