Month-long break policy reinstated for non-student temporary employees
The governor plans to end the public health emergency for COVID-19 as of Aug. 15,
2022. Therefore, non-student temporary employee appointments that have extended beyond
12 months must end no later than Sept. 15, and the temporary employee cannot be employed
again in a temporary position for at least 31 calendar days. (NC retirees excluded.)
