Ginger Caston has accepted the role of executive assistant to the chief of staff, replacing Joan Roggenkamp who retired in June. She has been working during the summer to smoothly transition from the Office of the Provost to the Office of the Chancellor and will continue in transition until her replacement in the Provost’s Office is onboarded in that role.

Caston’s new role manages all chief of staff budgeting, purchasing, event coordination, and scheduling. She will also staff committees and manage projects as well as serve as the Human Resources liaison for the office. Caston will work closely with, and back up, the Chancellor’s executive assistant, along with working with the Office of Institutional Integrity, assisting as needed.

Caston has been a valued member of the UNCSA community since 2004, when she started in Student Activities as the assistant to the director of Student Activities.  In her time with UNCSA, she has also worked in Human Resources, the Office of the Chancellor, Strategic Communications, and the Office of the Provost. She has proven her ability as a dedicated team player, shown great kindness to her colleagues, and will be an asset to the Office of the Chancellor.

An additional welcome is extended to Terri Fegley, the new executive assistant in the Provost Office. Replacing Caston in her previous role, Fegley joined our team on Sept. 14 and will be in the office starting on Monday, Sept. 19. With more than 15 years of professional administrative experience, she is transitioning to Winston-Salem from Philadelphia, Pa., where she recently served as executive assistant to the Chief Medical Office at Holy Redeemer Hospital.

Fegley will manage calendars for the executive vice chancellor and provost, and the vice provost and dean of academic affairs; assist the Office of Faculty Affairs in the engagement of guest artists; coordinate the form approval  for the provost forms inbox; and execute project management for vice provost initiatives. We are excited about the expertise, efficiency, and warmth that Fegley brings to her new role and know that her involvement as an avid volunteer and active member of her community will serve to strengthen our campus.
